The Ponderance Collective is a design and research consultancy.

We help build brands, understand markets and engage audiences. We occupy the space between local consultant and full-blown agency. We are based in Australia and have worked on projects in North America, Africa, Europe and even Iceland.

We believe in real world, tangible action. We do not condone boardroom buck-passing. We research carefully, have actual conversations with actual people, we travel to find your market and environment and get our heads, hearts and hands connected to the things we are learning, designing and strategising for.

We build a bespoke resource around each and every project. Our team, based on our core people, is extended with specialist talent specifically curated on a project-by-project basis from our ‘collective’ of creators, researchers and collaborators. We engage intelligent people who can offer fresh perspectives and relevant experience. We do not offer a room full of the same people for every brief. Her work as an academic researcher for leading Australian Universities and her experience in the NGO, charity and government sectors provides a valuable compass with which to navigate global projects, politics and cultures. Alexis brings a curious eye and a dedication to transparency in research that allows our work to tell stories and find details that most would simply overlook.

With experience from his extensive freelance and agency career Jimmy brings a global gold standard of creative direction and brand development. Jimmy is passionate about creating lasting, transparent and impactful brands that communicate in an honest (sometimes brutally) and memorable way. His experience covers most practical outcomes including digital, production and product design.
